My Trip to Apache Creek!!!!!

Wow. Yesterday (Sunday July 25) I arrived back from Apache Creek Deaf and Youth Ranch in New Mexico. It was AMAZING!! I praise God that He gave me an opportunity to go and hear and learn about His word. I went to camp from July 21-26,2008.

We went hiking, horse riding, roller-skating(which I fell many of many of times and have bruises to prove them), we had competion against the counslers and the campers. Which were basketball, volleyball, carpetball, tetherball. There was a singing competion I particapted in. We sang Give Up. With Sanderson....There are lots more things I can tell about this trip but I am writing this blog for a whole different purpose. I am writing this blog because I want to tell everyone about my experience at Apache Creek!

I guess I need to tell you that there were at least 3 services each day. And two devotions, morning and night for a week straight. So I have alot to tell you what I want to tell you in one blog!

Before Apache C reek I felt like the world was crashing around me...(im sorta exaggerating but hopefully you get my point.) I felt like I was sooooo far away from God. And God in my life, He is the main purpose. He is who I live in and for. (And thats who you should live in and for too.) But anywho I felt like God was so faraway that I could reach Him. And I felt like I wasnt doing what He would like me to do. I didnt know how to live life for Him. And I felt that I wasnt HIS child. Did you know that once you are saved you are a CHILD OF GOD. IT IS AMAZING!!! (But of course there is alot more why it is amazing that I am not telling you.) But my family isnt AS close to God as I, so it is hard to talk to them about this questions. So when I went to camp I found out all the answers to the questions in my mind.

But when I went to camp I made sure that I was a Child of God. The first morning service was about EXAMING YOURSELF. In 2 Corinthians 5:5 Paul writes "Examine Yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; Prove your ownselves. Know ye not your ownselves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" In case you are wondering reprobates means worthless, unapproved, worthless. We are not worthless when we are children of God. But we can be worthless Children of God. If we dont do what God wants us to. Living in His will. We have to WANT live in God. We have to WANT to give up everything that blocks us from God. The next service after the first was about Rebellion. In 1 Samuel 15:22-23 It says, "For rebillion is as the sin of witchcraft and stubborness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king." Rebellion takes you farther away from God.

Back to the story. I examined myself for the next 2 days. And I realized that that I was not willing to give up everything that was holding me back from God, I was being stubborn and from being stubborn I was rebelling from God. And did not only realized I was being stubborn and rebelling to and from God I was to my parents and family. (You know for being a brat and being rude. etc. etc.)

The next day and the next morning service. We were preach to about 'Where Jesus Dwells.' And they were telling us about where Jesus doesnt dwell in 'bad' music, movies, shows, friends, and how all these things will pull you away from God because they are of the World. 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 says, "14Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 16And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 18And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." And music and friends just stayed in my head through out this preaching. Because it occured to me that music and friends are what keep me away from God. Because once I get into a good band I will obbsess over them, sadly to say. And my friends since some of them dont believe in God that pulled me away to. You become who you hang around. And during the the service after that it was Preached and asked if 'You are a Vessel of God.' And with all these things that kept me away from God is keeping me from being a 'vessel of God.'

I do have more but I dont want you to read everything in one looooooooooooooong blog so I shall post a second one.

and tell you about the rest. And how Apache Creek has changed me for the better.

Wow! I am so happy to see a Christian group on buzznet. Because you dont really see Christianity going on on buzznet. But I am glad who ever started this group ...started the group! God is working in many ways. Including using the internet! So who ever is reading this journal. Invite friends. Christians or non-Christian. So they can see how God can work in their lives.! And we can witness to them through this group on Buzznet. But giving them help through God's word.

HORSE SLAUGHTER FOR FOOD

A thoroughbred, named Soccoro Sky, has the blood of champions running through her veins. Her grandfather was Seattle Slew, the 1977 Triple Crown winner, one of the greatest racehorses of all time. The five year old Soccoro Sky has even been a winner, herself. But you won't believe where INSIDE EDITION found her.

Just five days after a dismal seventh place finish, horse rescue groups say she was sent to the horse auction in New Holland, Pennsylvania to be sold for slaughter.

At dozens of auctions around the country, many horses are sold to dealers known as kill buyers for just a few hundred dollars. Their final destination is a dinner plate in Europe.

Hundreds of horses of all kinds are sold at New Holland every week. As many as 15% are shipped out of the country and slaughtered for human consumption. For many thoroughbreds, the end starts as soon as they finish in the back of the pack at the tracks.

In one video provided to INSIDE EDITION by actor Paul Sorvino's daughter, Amanda, a dealer is seen taking a thoroughbred, right from the racetrack to a Pennsylvania auction to be sold for slaughter, according to actor Paul Sorvino and his daughter, Amanda. The Hollywood star of hit movies like Goodfellas, is on a crusade to expose what he says is a cruel and inhumane process.

"If a horse can't run fast enough on the track, he goes to slaughter. So he is literally running for his life," Sorvino tells INSIDE EDITION.

In the U.S., it's now illegal to slaughter horses for food. However, it's not against the law in Canada or Mexico, so horses are often crowded onto trucks for a long journey across the border. According to Sorvino, the trip is long and arduous. "They're not fed. They're not watered. They're not taken care of."

In a video from the Humane Society of the United States, a horse is prodded by a rifle before being killed by a shot in the head, at a plant in Canada.

The Humane Society says conditions can be even crueler in Mexico. At one plant, a frightened horse is shoved into a small pen before being repeatedly stabbed in the neck. Callous workers can be heard cheering when the horse finally goes down.

"They're just dying in this barbaric, despicable and unconscionable way," says Sorvino's daughter, Amanda.

Ultimately, the meat is shipped overseas to butcher shops, many that even specialize in horse meat, and restaurants that have horse dishes on their menus.

While slaughter seems brutal, Jim Holt, the veterinarian at the New Holland horse auction, says if the horses weren't killed for food, thousands would simply be abandoned, and left to die a slow painful death. He tells INSIDE EDITION, "We feel that it's, at this point, a necessary evil."

Soccoro Sky was ultimately saved by an animal rescue group. Sadly though most unwanted horses aren't as lucky. Sorvino says it's up to owners of the horses, especially in the racing industry, to take responsibility for their animals.

"Think about that horse winning with the roses around his neck, and then one year later he's hanging from one leg in a slaughter house," Paul Sorvino says. "Think about that and then say we've got to do something."

There are bills now pending before both the House and Senate that would permanently ban the export and slaughter of American horses for human consumption.

What we are coming to...

Hey guys...

well there was somethings I watched today. About religon. It dawned on me many people obess over everything else other than the bible. (if you're into religon like me) And this is including ME. My mom showed my some videos of what could happen and what is happening and it scares me cuz you never know when or where the coming of The Lord will happen and i feel im not ready. Instead of reading the bible we or me are listening to music on buzznet avoiding to read the bible. Just to do something to NOT read it. Well the whole point of me posting this journal is for MINE and YOUR purpose. I know i dont know you and you dont know me but i want to see you and you want to see me in the Kingdom of Heaven with our Lord.

THESE verses tell it like it is. No one is good enough for God.

You cant pile up brownie points & hope the make you acceptable in his sight. The only people who think they can make it on their own are people who have cut God down to their size. The problemis that God is who he is and is perfect holiness.Thats the bad news...&its the good news.How can people like you or me be made right with God?Where do we get the righteousness we need? The good news is that God's kind of righteousness has been made available to us(romans3:21) as a free gift (romans 3:24). Its for anyone who has faith in Jesus Christ (romans3:22),which simply means you dont get the gift unless you take it.

God cant pretend sin doesnt exist.He doesnt look @ us and make excuses for us.He had something about sin break its power over us. So he sent Jesus & we have been redeemed-rescued by him(romans3:25)Jesus died as a sacrafice to pay sin's penalty(romans3:25),& to those who believe & receive his offer,he does a wonderdul thing: he justifies us(romans 3:24)

If you need to be justified,it means something is wrong. You dont match the stanard. In justtifying us,God takes care of our sin-& then does something even greater-he gives us the righteousness of Jesus Christ.Its like recieving new clothes that fit us & we are appropriate for going into the presence of the king.What do we lack?Righteousness.What does Jesus give usHis righteousness.He doesnt change his standard in order to include us.He changes us to fit the standard.

We must take a good look @ ourselves. Do we deserve this?? No,its god's grace(ROMANS(3;24)that brings about this marvelous change in our lives. How should a person respond to such a gift?? Receive it thankfully!Remember who you are &whose clothes you are wearing.REMEMBER how you came to belong to Jesus Christ!SHARE THE GOOD NEWS!
